Privacy Policy

Your data never leaves your device. Every tool on JSONDiff.in, from the JSON diff to the JWT decoder, runs as JavaScript in your browser. We have no server that receives, processes or stores the content you paste, upload or generate.
What we do not collect
We do not collect, transmit or store the JSON documents, text, tokens, files, secrets or API requests you work with. Share links encode the comparison in the URL fragment (the part after #), which browsers do not send to web servers.
Data stored in your browser
To make the site convenient, some information is stored in your browser's local storage on your own device: your open comparison tabs and their contents, recent tool inputs (small ones only), tool options, theme and font size, and the collections and history of the API client. You can clear this at any time from your browser settings. It is never sent to us.
Analytics
We may use Google Analytics with IP anonymization to understand which tools are used and how the site performs. Analytics only records page views and aggregate interaction events, never the content you enter. You can block analytics with a content blocker or by disabling JavaScript for third-party scripts.
Advertising
If ads are shown, they are served by Google AdSense, which may use cookies to show relevant ads. Ads are never placed inside the tool work areas. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your Google Ads settings.
Optional network requests
Some features make network requests only when you ask them to: the API client sends requests to the URL you enter, and "Load from URL" fetches the JSON document you specify. These requests go directly from your browser to that server, not through us.
Cookies
JSONDiff.in itself sets no cookies. Third-party analytics or advertising scripts, when enabled, may set their own as described above.
Children
The site is intended for developers and is not directed at children under 13. We knowingly collect no information from children.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and adjust the date at the top.
